TRAINING, CERTIFICATION and ACTIVITIES:
This workshop is geared towards all levels for both the handler and K9 from beginner teams to the experienced veteran teams. Training and Certification will be available in all areas of patrol including building search, area search, aggression control, obedience & tracking. Training and certification will also be available in narcotics including vehicles, buildings, lockers etc;

Due to several request, there will be a venue set for certifications for Search & Rescue Teams. PLEASE NOTE: A criminal History is necessary of civilian handlers requesting to certify in the Search & Rescue area. (See NAPWDA By-Laws for complete guidelines, Membership Article 3 Associate Members).

You do not need to be a NAPWDA member to attend and train but you must be a CURRENT & in good standing NAPWDA member if you wish to certify in any of the certification areas offered. PLEASE be familiar with NAPWDA By-Laws and Certification rules as they will be followed for certification purposes, NO EXCEPTIONS, a copy of the By-Laws and Certification Rules will be available at the workshop or can be viewed / printed from the NAPWDA web page at; www.napwda.com/about/.

All attendees will receive a workshop Tee Shirt & attendance certificate. There will be a Pig Roast on the evening of Sept. 20 at 1800 hrs. Department personal and family members, children included as always, are welcome and encouraged to attend. Just let us know how many total people will be attending. Door prizes for the workshop attendees will be awarded during the night of the pig roast.

There will be a Public Demonstration on Wednesday night, Sept. 19th. For any K-9 Team wishing to participate in the public demo, please make note on your application.

An information packet will be mailed, emailed or faxed to all attendees one (1) week prior to the workshop detailing the instructors, training, certification venue locations and training times. Please be sure your address is legible for mailing purposes and include an email address.

Instructors: Master Trainers and Trainers from NAPWDA along with other highly recognized trainers from across the United States will be in attendance for both training and certification; names of all trainers to be announced in the information packet.

Workshop Fee: “FREE SEMINAR” – To the first 50 K-9 Teams to register.
Non- NAPWDA Members would need to become members to be certified at this workshop (Membership is $35.00 per year, Jan 1 through Dec. 31). But membership is not required to come and train only.

K-9 is allowed in room, but must be crated when left in room alone. You & your department will be liable for any/all damage done by your K9 partner.
