About the Event
This workshop will cover training and certification in Patrol (obedience, aggression control, area search, building search, article detection, and tracking/trailing), Narcotics Detection, Explosive Detection, and Search and Rescue. K9 teams of all levels of experience are welcome, as training classes are tailored to each team's experience level. This workshop provides participants with practical, hands-on scenario-based training for Patrol, EOD, and Search and Rescue teams. Participants will develop skills in deployment tactics, critical thinking during high-risk reality-based scenarios, and EOD post-blast operations. Training may be conducted at various locations, including the USS Yorktown, Fort Sumter, Charleston Harbor (maritime deployments), various sports stadiums, and urban environments. Certification and Training will be available all week.
Instructors include: Jason Allen (Patrol/Narc/Exp), Jeffrey Thom (Patrol/Narc), Kyle McCraith (Explosives), Doug Wannemacher (Search and Rescue), and Robert Freeline (Search and Rescue).
